    Online applications have been invited by meritorious students of minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikhs, Buddhist, Jain & parsis) for the merit cum means minority scholarship for the year 2017-18 by August 31, 2017. Uttar Pradesh Government is inviting online applications through their Minority Welfare Department website. Along with this, the date of application for renewal scholarship by the students has been fixed from July 1 to July 31, 2017. Students of Minority community who obtain minimum 50% marks in the last year's examination under this scheme, can apply online by the Government of India National Scholarship Portal (NS) on www.scholarships.gov.in, on the prescribed date.


    Important Dates of Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2017-18 for Minorities UP :

    Last Date of Submission of Online application for Fresh Merit-cum- Means Scholarship by students : June 1, 2017 to 31 August, 2017

    Last Date of Submission of Online application for Renewal Merit-cum- Means Scholarship by students : June 1, 2017 to 31 July, 2017


    Eligibility Criteria for Merit cum Means Scholarship for minorities 2017-18 UP

    =<>. To avail the benefits of merit cum means minority scholarship scheme, the applicant must be resident of Uttar Pradesh State.

    =<>. This MCM Scholarship is open for Minority communities students, such as Muslim, Christian, Sikhs, Buddhist, Jain & parsis.

    =<>. The annual income of the parents of the applicant should not be more than Rs. 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees (2,50,000/-) from all sources.

    =<>. Applicant must have an Aadhaar number and bank account number on her/his name.

    =<>. Students who get admission to a college to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination will be eligible for the scholarship.

    =<>. Students who get admission in technical/professional courses without taking any competitive examination will also be eligible for scholarship. However, such students should have not less than 50% marks at higher secondary/graduation level.

    =<>. A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course.


    Rate of Merit cum Means Scholarship for minorities 2017-18 UP

    {@#} Financial assistance will be given to pursue graduate level or post graduate level technical and professional courses from a recognized institution.

    {@#} Course fee and Maintenance allowance will be credited/transferred directly into the bank account of selected students.

    {@#} The rate of scholarship will be as under

    Maintenance Allowance (for 10 months in an academic year) :
    For Hostler : Rs. 10000/- per annum
    For Day Scholar : Rs. 5000/- per annum

    Course Fee :
    For Hostler : Rs.20,000/- per annum or Actual whichever is less
    For Day Scholar : Rs.20,000/- per annum or Actual whichever is less


    Application Process for Merit cum Means Scholarship for minorities 2017-18 UP :

    ó The application process of Means cum merit scholarship is Online, through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

    ó The students needs to go to the website if Ministry, ie. scholarships.gov.in to apply online.

    ó The students are required to upload the scanned copies of some required documents for both Fresh and Renewal of MCM Scholarship.


    Documents to be uploaded :

    **. The student should upload one Passport size photograph with signature of the student thereon(for Fresh Scholarship)

    **. Institutional Verification Form is also required to be uploaded.

    **. Self Declaration of Income Certificate by the students is needed.

    **. Self Declaration of Community by the students is also mandatory.

    **. Self Attested Certificate of Previous Academic Mark Sheet as filled in Form (For Fresh Scholarship)

    **. Self Attested Certificate of Previous Year Mark Sheet as filled in Form (For Renewal
    Scholarship)

    **. The students should also upload the Fee Receipt of current course year is necessary to upload.

    **. Self-attested copy of the 1st page of Savings Bank Pass Book indicating the Account no, IFSC code etc.

    **. Self-certification of the students towards community certificate

    **. Scanned copy of Aadhaar is needed to be uploaded

    **. Residential Certificate is also required to be uploaded.
