    The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, is providing the Pre matric scholarships to the students of UT of Daman & Diu and the Social Welfare Department, Government of Union Territory of Daman & Diu is implementing this scholarship which is given to the students of minority community. The minority communities are muslim, sikhs, christians, jains, parsis, buddhists notified by central government.

    The pre matric scholarship is given to the minority community students for studies in India in a Govt. or Private School for the students of Class I to X . The student who scored not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and whose parental annual income from all sources not more than Rs.1 lakh are entitled for Pre matric Scholarship for the academic session 2015-16 in Daman & Diu.

    Last Date : 20th August, 2015


    Eligibility for Pre Matric Scholarship 2015-16 Daman & Diu:

    [a] The interested candidates must be from minority (muslim, sikhs, christians, jains, parsis, buddhists) communities.

    The students of Class 1 to Class 10 are eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme.

    [c] The student must be practising their education in Government School/Institute or Private School/Institute recognized by appropriate authority, for Pre-Matric scholarship scheme.

    [d] The student must obtained minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade in the last final exam.

    [e] The student's parents income should not exceed Rs. One Lac (1,00,000) from all sources to be eligible for Pre matric scholarship scheme.


    How to Apply for Pre Matric Scholarship 2015-16 Daman & Diu:

    {1} For the class 1 to class 8th students will have to apply for the application for in the prescribed format and after filling up the form submit the same to the Assistant Director of Education ( District Panchayat) through respective Head Master/Principal.

    {2} The class 9th to 10th student can apply for online application and need to take print out of online filled in application to Deputy Director of Education, Nani Daman through respective Head Master/Principal.

    {3} The class IX and Xth students can take the online application form for Pre Matric Scholarship from the scholarship portal website, ie www.scholarship.gov.in.

    {4} No offline application will be accepted for students Classes IX and X.

    {5} In the application form, the student should be ensure that the bank account and aadhar number details are correctly filled. The application will be rejected if not furnished correct.


    Important Dates of Pre Matric Scholarship 2015-16 Daman & Diu:

    => The last date of submission of offline application for Clas 1 to 8 : August 20, 2015

    => Last date of submission of Online application for Class 9 and 10 : 20th August, 2015
