    A Painting competition at the national level to make the youth aware about water pollution prevention and water conservation is going to be organize very soon by Ministry of Resources, Government of India. 8th National Painting competition on Water Conservation 2017 will be held in three stages, ie. school, State and National level. The competition is open to all the students of Classes 6, 7 and 8. The participants need to create their artwork on the mentioned theme using any drawing materials like crayons, water, colour etc.


    Date Schedule of 8th Painting Competition on Water Conservation 2017 :

    Last Date to apply 28th September, 2017

    State Level Painting Competition : No. – Dec., 2017

    National Level Painting Competition in Delhi : First week of February, 2018


    Eligibility Criteria for 8th Painting Competition on Water Conservation 2017:

    <#>.=} All the students of Class 6 to 8 of all schools in India are eligible to apply for Painting Competition.

    <#>.=} Those who have won Ist, IInd, IIIrd Prizes at State or UT Level competition in previous years, ie. 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 are not entitled to participate in the competition.

    <#>.=} The consolation prize winners of previous years can participate in this competition.

    <#>.=} The candidates who are willing to participate in this competition must have an Aadhaar Card. The candidtes who does not have Aadhaar are required to apply for Aadhaar Enrolment by Aug 31, 2017.


    8th Painting Competition 2017 on Water Conservation Awards :

    School Level Painting Competition :

    Participation Certificate will be given to all participants of school level which will be signed by Regional Director, CGWB and Member Secretary, CGWA.

    State Level Painting Competition –

    (@)= At State Level, the winners will be awarded with Cash Prize and a Certificate of Merit which are as follows.

    Ist Prize Winner : Rs. 10,000

    IInd Prize Winner : Rs. 8,000

    IIIrd Prize Winner : Rs. 5,000

    (@)= 10 Consolation Prizes of Rs. 1000 will be awarded.

    (@)= All 50 participants in each state would be paid an Accidental Charges of Rs. 1000 for attending State Level Competition.

    (@)= Participants along with two parents/guardians will also be provided with Travel Expense, ie. to and fro by ordinary bus/sleeper class rail fare.

    National Level Painting Competition

    ~>] The winners of National level will be awarded with Cash Prize and a Certificate of Merit.

    Important : Total 93 candidates will be selected for National Level Painting Competition which will be conducted in August Kranti Lawn, India Gate, New Delhi.

    ~>] The winners at National level competition will be awarded with following amount.

    Ist Prize Winner : Rs. One Lakh (One winner)

    IInd Prize Winner : Rs. Fifty Thousand (Four winners)

    IIIrd Prize Winner : Rs. Twenty Five Thousand (eight winners)

    ~>] Consolation Prize of Rs. 5000 would be given to other participants.

    ~>] All participants from each state would be given a lump sum amount of Rs. Three Thousand (3000) against Food , Accommodation, Transport and other Incidental charges.

    ~>] Participants along with two parents/guardians will also be provided with Travel Expense, ie. to and fro by ordinary bus/AC III Tier fare.


    Application Process for 8th Painting Competition 2017 on Water Conservation :

    The painting needs to be sent by the school. Individual participation by student or parents is not allowed.

    The details of application process is given below.

    Level 1- School Level Competition :

    (*) Level 1 of Painting Competition on Water Conservation will be conducted by last week of Sept., 2017

    (*) In this level, first of all, the principal of school will organize painting competition of two hours in their school premises.

    (*) All the materials, such as crayons, water colours, etc. regarding drawing for school level would be arranged by students or school.

    (*) Paintings can be made on A3 or A4 size paper.

    (*) Patchwork or Collage work will not be permitted in the paintings.

    (*) Painting only signed by school principals will be accepted.

    (*) On the back of the painting sheet, below information should be mentioned.

    · Name of Student
    · Father’s and Mother’s Name
    · Telephon/Mobile Number of Parents
    · Standard
    · Roll Number
    · Emaild ID of Student (if have)
    · School Name and Address
    · School Location (Urban or Rural)
    · School Telephone no./mobile no./ email
    · State/UT
    · Signature of the School Principal


    Level 2- State Level Competition :

    @. Level2 of Painting Competition on Water Conservation will be conducted in November-December 2017

    @. The painting received from schools all over the country will be further selected. 50 best paintings out of total will be selected by jury members and they will qualify for Stage 2 of Competition.

    @. All drawing materials which includes a kit of paint, ruler, brushes, pencils, erasers etc. would be provided by CGWB.

    @. The theme of painting competition would be given to the participants on the spot.

    @. All 50 students must submit three (3) latest passport size coloured photographs.

    @. The students or participants must carry identity proof/letter from his/her respective school principal.


    Level 3- National Level Competition :

    è The winners of Ist, IInd and IIIrd prizes from each state/UT would be called to New Delhi for the competition.

    è The students or participants must carry identity proof/letter from his/her respective school principal.

    è All materials related to drawing would be provided by CGWB.

    è Collage or Patchwork will not be permitted in the paintings
